世新大學為招攬陸生來台就學，被爆出簽署「一中承諾書」，承諾課程中不會提到兩岸關係中的敏感字眼，更強調不從事任何有關「一中一台」、「兩個中國」、「台灣獨立」等方面活動。民進黨籍立委陳亭妃今早再踢爆，國立清華大學也有簽署一中承諾書。
根據《自由時報》報導，陳亭妃出示一份來自批踢踢的承諾書，該承諾書由清大全球事務處國際學生組署名發出，自今年2月11日到6月20日，邀請大陸高校優秀學生前來交流學習，除了學生來台交流的說明外，還特別承諾，不會涉及與兩岸關係一中一台等政治議題相關言論。
陳亭妃表示，世新大學簽署一中承諾書並非教育部所說的個案，質疑台灣的各大學只要招收大陸研修生，都被要求必須簽下政治性的承諾書，要求教育部和陸委會必須儘速全面了解。
在多次被外界猜測將參加經典賽後，紅雀隊內野手Matt Carpenter今天終於表態將代表美國隊出賽，另外同隊的頂級新秀Alex Reyes也表示將加入多明尼加國家隊，幫助球隊完成衛冕。
「我一直都想參加看看世界棒球經典賽，而紅雀隊准許了我去參賽。」Reyes接受訪問時如此表示。
而Carpenter的加入則會給美國隊的野手戰力帶來顯著的提升，他能守三個內野位置，甚至也能支援中外野，多功能的守位將會強化美國隊的陣容深度。而優異的打擊能力，將能很好的補上球隊所需要的開路先先鋒人選。
紅雀總管John Mozeliak表示，在不受傷的前提下，樂於看到選手們去參加經典賽，這對他們來說是一個很好的經驗。
